Pyrimidine is an aromatic heterocyclic organic compound similar to pyridine. One of the three diazines (six-membered heterocyclics with two nitrogen atoms in the ring), it has the nitrogen atoms at positions 1 and 3 in the ring. 109-12-6, formula is C4H5N3, Name is Pyrimidin-2-amine. The pyrimidine ring system has wide occurrence in nature as substituted and ring fused compounds and derivatives, including the nucleotides cytosine, thymine and uracil, thiamine (vitamin B1) and alloxan. A. research published 《 Complexes of carboxymethylcellulose with Cu2+-ions as a prototype of antitumor agent》, the research content is summarized as follows. The search for new promising carries and vectors for the purposes of nuclear medicine with multifunctional effects is the most difficult problem in this branch of medicine. Among the components that are used to create carriers, one of the most perspective is the polysaccharide CM-cellulose (CMC). This choice is due to CMC high solubility in aqueous and saline solutions, low toxicity, high biocompatibility, as well as the content of a large number of anionic (carboxyl) and hydroxyl functional groups, which are capable of strong binding of polyvalent metal ions. In our work CMC were bound to Cu2+ ions that resulted in a collapse of the polymer macromol. and formation of the CMC- Cu2+ binary complexes. The binary complexes addnl. adsorbed 2-aminopyrimidine (AP) and formed the CMC- Cu2+-AP ternary complexes. The binary and ternary complexes were characterized by dynamic light scattering, laser electrophoresis, UV-spectrophotometry, TEM- microscopy, thin layer chromatog. and cell viability with the following main conclusions: (a) An increase in the copper content from up to 20 wt% leads to altering the size of CMC particles in water solution from 400 to 340 nm. Further binding of AP has no effect on the particle size. (b) In physiol. solution, the size of the ternary complex particles was addnl. decreased down to 200-220 nm. (c) The complex particles are stable against aggregation in water surrounding due to their total neg. charge. (d) Their cytotoxicity in relation to leukemic cells significantly exceeds that in relation to normal lymphocytes, creating an attractive therapeutic window. The results show good prospects for the CMC-copper complexes as drug carriers.
Synthetic Route of 109-12-6, 2-Aminopyrimidine is a useful research compound. Its molecular formula is C4H5N3 and its molecular weight is 95.1 g/mol. The purity is usually 95%.
2-Aminopyrimidine is an organic compound that belongs to the group of pyridines. It has been shown to have antimicrobial, antitumor, and antiviral properties. 2-Aminopyrimidine has been used as a fungicide and herbicide in horticulture and agriculture, respectively. The molecular geometry of this molecule is octahedral with coordination geometry C2v. This chemical binds to the BCR-ABL kinase receptor and inhibits its activity by competitive inhibition of ATP binding. 2-Aminopyrimidine has been shown to have a hematologic response in vivo models and in vitro assays. It also has anti-inflammatory effects when it is taken orally or applied topically., 109-12-6.
